Cost for members in the United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary Network and Sacred Seeds Network is $50, this includes registration fee, food and camping. Small travel grants are also available.

This price includes registration fee for the two day event as well as food and camping. If you decided to join the Botanical Sanctuary Network your registration fee can be applied towards the 100.00 sanctuary application fee.

Nurturing your Botanical Sanctuary
This is an opportunity for those who are part of the Botanical Sanctuary Network and the Sacred Seeds Network to gather to learn important ETHNOBOTANICAL skills, to share stories, and to strengthen ties that revive the concept of the sacred groves. Sacred groves are essentially botanical sanctuaries that that have been documented in cultures around the world, and have been identified as critical to conservation of endangered medicinal plants.

10:30am:  Introduction to Ethnobotanical principles & Plant Healers International – Marc Williams
11-noon:  Botanical drawings with Lee Ann

                 Botany Basics and Creating your own Plant List – Marc Wiliams
12-1pm:  Lunch
1-2:30:  Stewardship through Mapping and tapping into local resources- Susan Leopold
2:30-3pm:  Break
3-5pm:  Ethics of Wildcrafting – Nathan Wright and Monica Cady
5-6pm: Hike through the Sanctuary
6:30pm:  Dinner, then optional Movie: Sanctity of Sanctuary
Friday, October 2

9-11am:  Exploring patterns in nature – Lee Ann Woolery
11-12am: Sharing Stories and ideas for the Botanical Sanctuary Network
12-1pm:  Lunch
1-2:30pm:  Developing interpretation and education programs for your sanctuary – Alison Ormsby
2:30-3pm:  Break
3-4:30pm:  Management of Forestlands, and Securing your Sanctuary – Chip Carroll and Eric Burkhart
4:30-5:30pm:  Conclusion, evaluations – Group Discussion
6pm:  Dinner and departure

Cost includes: lunch and dinner on Thursday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday 
Campsites are free but you need to bring your own camping supplies
